The National Dementia Website provides information on dementia to people with dementia, their family and friends, carers, health professionals, service providers and researchers.
The development of the National Dementia Website is funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Health and Ageing as part of the Helping Australians with dementia, and their carers - making dementia a National Health Priority initiative.
Human Solutions was contracted to develop the National Dementia Website. The development of the website required Human Solutions to complete the following tasks: - Consultation - with stakeholders to gain their support for the project, identify the needs of users of the site and identify material for inclusion or reference on the site;
- Content analysis - collection and analysis of information to be presented on the site, including a gap analysis to identify missing content;
- Design - development of the information architecture, site structure, accessibility, standards compliance, navigation model and layout of the Website;
- Development - creation of site content and generation of Web pages, installation and configuration of the site, testing and handover to the Department; and
- Maintenance - of the site infrastructure, updating and expansion of site content; support for users of the site; liaison with stakeholders and reporting to the Department.
The National Dementia Website demonstrates our ability to provide a full service to clients, from design through to delivery and our proficiency to work closely with government agencies, stakeholders and end users to produce high quality outcomes for our clients.
