The Parkside Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation providing services for people with disabilities, older people, and for their family and carers. The site was launched in September 2003.

Human Solutions developed the Web site in conjunction with the Foundation, using eDevelop, our Web content management system. This provided a cost effective solution and enabled the site to be created relatively quickly.

Human Solutions worked with Parkside staff to create a site for a wide range of users, and incorporates accessible design elements including audio files, flexible design and W3C compliant layouts. Throughout the site the emphasis has been on providing appropriate information in a consistently easy-to-use manner.

There is one general area for the public and four areas for specific target groups, each with a private discussion board. In addition, an area reserved for Parkside Foundation staff allows online submission of timesheets, display of the latest staff rosters, and access to the latest versions of policies and procedures.

The Parkside Foundation site is hosted through one of our servers at Networking Tasmania.

This project demonstrates our ability to create accessible Web sites, work with clients to deliver solutions that meet their unique needs, and deliver a quality product in a limited amount of time.
